●Chuo Wholesale Market : Every morning, fresh vegetables, fruit and seafood from all over Hokkaido, is brought here to Sapporo Chuo Wholesale Market. The outdoor market adjacent to this, is where retail stores line the street, and is open to the public. Everything you want, from fresh fish to fruit to dried products are sold at the approximately 60 stores here. There are also eateries serving sushi and other Japanese meals made with fresh produce. For lunch, you will have free time to eat at this outdoor market. However, if you show your Regular Sightseeing Bus Ticket stub at eateries inside the market, you will be able to order the Original Menu (optional and at ¥1,500 without tax).
●Mt. Okura Ski Jump Stadium : Originally named the “Okura Schanze” when it opened in 1932, the name was later changed to Mt. Okura Ski Jump Stadium after it underwent renovation in preparation for the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympic Games. From the starting point, elevation 307 meters, a commanding view of Sapporo and the Ishikari Plains can be seen, not to mention the Miyanomori Ski Jump Stadium, a 70 meter jump board to the right. During the winter visitors can enjoy a sparkling winter wonderland, as the entire area is blanketed in pure white snow. On days when there are no tournaments, you can enjoy the view from behind the starting point in the “observation deck lounge.”
●Mt. Moiwa Ropeway : You will take the ropeway from the foot to the mid-mountain station, then the Morris cable car, the first of its kind in the world, to the summit. At the summit, be awed by the spectacular panorama of Sapporo, Sea of Japan and Ishikari Bay, and Mt. Shokanbentsu in Mashike.
