- Chitose Aquarium: Home of Salmon
Chitose Aquarium features one of Japan’s largest freshwater tanks. Here, visitors observe salmon, freshwater fish native to Hokkaido, and unique freshwater species from around the world.
The “Underwater Observation Zone,” a first of its kind in Japan, lets you get an up-close view of the seasonal activities of Chitose River’s aquatic life.

- Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival
This is a limited-time tour operating during the Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival. The ice sculptures, made from the crystal-clear waters of Lake Shikotsu, are beautifully illuminated, creating a fantastic and mystical display.
　
*Admission to the Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival is not included. (Adults: ¥1,000；children under elementary school age enter for free)

  • *Please note that in some cases our duration at a tourist attraction may be shortened if there are delays due to traffic congestion. Furthermore, if our arrival time to Lake Shikotsu is delayed, we may not have time to visit the Hyoto Ice Festival.
  • *The venue is very slippery so please watch your step.
  • *The venue is also very cold; please be sure to dress accordingly in warm clothing.
  • *Please be aware that this course will not stop at New Chitose Airport or Minami Chitose.
  • *There are no fireworks displays scheduled for this year. There are also no rest areas nor gift shops.
  • *Restrooms are located at the venue entrance.
  • *Illuminations begin at 4:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM.
  • *Operating hours for other shops at the Lake Shikotsu Onsen area are still being confirmed, but most close at 5:00 PM. We recommend preparing snacks or small meals (if needed) in advance or purchasing them at Salmon Park Chitose.

*Tour will be cancelled when there is no reservation by 18:00 the day before. *(In some cases the time will be shortened to earlier than 18:00 for some courses.)
*Duration of sightseeing at each facility is subject to change according to the number of passengers, and traffic conditions.
*Arrival time will be earlier than scheduled time due to holiday break or restriction condition of the facility.
*Please allow enough time for transfer to the other modes of transport, because buses may be delayed　due to traffic jams or adverse weather conditions.
